I’m really just a self-proclaimed, self-taught wardrobe stylist. But it is something I have been passionate about sinceI was a little girl. From a young age, I learned the value of investing in pieces that were worth having for years to come. My late, Auntie Alexia, was a professional ballerina and after traveling the world, developed the most incredible style that was all her own. She would always mail me post cards from her trips and bring me little gifts she would collect along the way. When she passed years ago, I was fortunate enough to inherit some of her most prized possessions, mostly clothing and jewelry. She was a source of inspiration for me and I always looked to her for fashion advice.
With wedding season upon us, even I am on the look out for beautiful pieces I can wear as a wedding guest. Award shows are my favorite time to source inspiration. Clearly, the high-fashion designers know what they are doing and they are setting the tone for the year. So I thought, why not share a few of my favorite looks from the Oscars with some similar pieces you can wear yourself, either as a wedding guest, to a fun party, or a night out!

While Jason Momoa looks absolutely KILLER in his blush, velvet suit and matching scrunchie…LOOK AT HIS WIFE. That beaded overlay and lavender silk peeking out is an insane combo. I would also kill for her arms, but that’s for a different post 😉

If you don’t follow Kelly on Instagram, you’re missing out. I’ve been watching her on daytime television for as long as I can remember. I love her IG story segment about what she is wearing on the show each day. And Mark…killing us all with that smile. I also happen to be a Riverdale watcher. I just really love them both. I knew I could count on them for an incredible couples look.

Gemma Chan in neon, ruffles, and pockets. Just effortlessly beautiful. I loved her character in the audio book, then really loved her in the movie, and now really really love her IRL.
